La Lingua Freshly Squeezed News - Our news is so fresh, it happened tomorrow ! QUICK UPDATE: Great party everybody ! Not everybody wore pyjamas, but if you did, congratulations ! I'm sure the party was even more exciting. If you missed the party, don't worry ! There's another crazy La Lingua party in a couple of months ! WORD OF THE DAY: " shellfish " ( Any kind of sea animal with a shell is called a shellfish.) JOKE OF THE DAY: Q: Why don't lobsters give money to beggars ? A: Because they're shellfish. ( HA HA !! If you don't get it, ask somebody to explain it, OK ? ) UPCOMING EVENTS: > Not much ! Yes, Sydney is a bit boring today..... STUPID STORY: When I was only five years old, my kindergarten class went bushwalking on a beautiful Autumn day, just like today. Sometimes parents joined us to help. On this particular day, my dear old mother came with us. I felt a bit embarrassed, because usually three or four parents came, but this time my Mum was the only one. Anyway, as we were walking on a narrow dirt track, I stupidly walked onto an ant nest ! ( An ant nest is a big round sandy hump with little holes in it where ants live. ) Of course the ants bit me and I started screaming and crying. I tried to say that ants were in my shoes, but my dear old Mum didn't understand me. She thought I said "pants", so, in front of all my classmates, she pulled down my pants and started brushing off my bottom and private parts ! I remember she kept shouting, "Where are they? I can't see any !", while I was fighting her to pull up my pants again. Of course, everybody was laughing at me and never let me forget it. DO YOU HAVE ANY STUPID STORIES? PLEASE SEND ONE TO US !
